                                                                  Spotlight Animals

African Bush Elephant.jpg

The ELEPHANT So let me ask you something, do you know anything about elephants? Well the help us save animals program knows a lot about elephants and other animals. Well..... Elephants are endangered animals because people hunt them for their tusks! The elephant is a amazing animal, we don't want them gone!

The Bilby

GBThe Bilby is an animal that has a ton of things in common with a rabbit but still they are different. That's their actual problem because they both eat the same sorts of food and  choose their homes in places that rabbits do  so there's not enough food or homes for both species. Fortunately, a man called Frank Manthey is taking care of this problem. You can help to. For easter instead of buying chocolate bunnies buy chocolate biblies. This will raise money for a fundraiser to save the biblies. So go and help bilbies!!!

             The Blue Whale

The blue Whale is another endangered animal. Here are some amazing facts about it. The blue whale is the loudest animal on earth. This amazing  animal is endangered because of change in the environment also because of habitat LOSS and toxic in the water. Its the biggest animal on earth! Its Weight is about 200 tons (roughly 33 elephants). The blue whale Eats 4 tons of krill every day. They are also endangered because they are running out of prey (krill).

The Giraffe      For Puppy Lover

Giraffes live in the open Savannah and wooded grasslands of eastern and southern Africa where there are many acacia trees and shrubs to eat leaves off of. Their long necks help them get food that other animals can't reach. Did you know that every single giraffe has their own different pattern. The patterns may look the same but if you look closely you'll see a difference.  Habitat destruction is what's making giraffes become endangered. You can help by telling your friends about this and going to the "what's going on" part of the website under the "What you can do" section to help more.   Thank you puppy lover for requesting this spotlight animal. If you have anymore requests just go back to the contact us page. :D

The Peacock     For Pretty Peacock

The male is called a peacock, the female a peahe, and the offspring peachicks. The adult female is grey and/or brown. Peachicks can be between yellow and a twany color with brown patches, or light tan and ivory, also referred to as "Dirty White." There are two familiar peacock species. The blue peacock lives in India and Sri Lanka, while the green peacock is found in Java and Myanmar (Burma). A more distinct and little-known species, the Congo peacock, inhabits African rain forests. Peafowl such as the blue peacock have been admired by humans and kept as pets for thousands of years. Selective breeding has created some unusual color combinations, but wild birds are themselves bursting with vibrant hues. They can be testy and do not mix well with other domestic birds.
